Following an enjoyable and well organised night at Burton Albion Pirelli Stadium, Burton On Trent on 20th January, the first ever Central Telecom and Burton Mail Awards was a successful and motivational affair.
Nine awards in the inaugural celebrations marked the achievements of the business community across Burton and South Derbyshire.
ComputerTel Limited sponsored an award for Company of the Year, 10 employees and under. After great deliberation, due to the high standard of entries, the award was given to Pachacuti.
Pachacuti was founded in 1992 by Carry Somers as a fair trade business with the aim of sourcing directly from producers and paying a fair price for products manufactured under good working conditions. Pachacuti works principally with small-scale cooperatives, community groups, workers' associations, mothers' clubs and family workshops.
Other Finalists were Hairbrains, an innovative Hair design and Beauty company who focus on a high quality client experience. They also encompass a specialist training school, attended by external salons across the UK; Journeys A La Carte, a very successful travel company who spend large resources training and educating their consultants on specific destinations and focusing on outstanding customer care; and the Chartwell Practice, a pioneering firm who are passionate about offering their clients not only an accountancy service, but a service that identifies opportunities to improve their bottom line.
Best wishes to them all and may they all go from strength to strength.
