Health & Safety Method Statement

  • As part of Computertel's Induction Training all personnel are given general Health and Safety training, including Heavy Lifting guidance, Ergonomics training, general housekeeping tuition and are advised on Fire Action. This ensures that any personnel attending site will be conversant with basic Health and Safety knowledge and will have any knowledge of proper lifting skills, therefore reducing risks to their personal health as well as others.

  • All Computertel personnel will comply with any Specialised Health & Safety Conditions that may be in operation on the site visited, subject to receiving briefing, or obtaining subsequent information, prior to commencement of their work on the site. They will make themselves aware of escape routes and fire procedures.

  • Computertel personnel will perform any work carried out in a safe and conscientious manner, ensuring that there is no risk or hazard to themselves or others and agrees to advise the relevant appointed personnel on site, of any dangers or hazards they may observe whilst carrying out their work.

  • Our personnel will clean up any spillages if they occur and any accidents will be reported to the relevant appointed personnel on site.

  • Computertel personnel will ensure that they comply with any smoking regulations on site.

  • Computertel Limited personnel will ensure they work in a tidy manner and keep their work area free from clutter. They will ensure that waste is disposed of in the proper allocated bins or skips, provided. All boxes and other portable carrying appliances will be disposed of, or removed from site, after use.

  • Computertel Limited will provide a qualified engineer to attend any installation or maintenance work the company undertakes.

  • Computertel engineers will ensure that the supply voltage for tools and equipment is at the lowest necessary for the job and suitable for the environment the equipment will be used in.

  • Computertel engineers will ensure that every cable and lead that they install, is protected from damage by sheathing, protective enclosures or by positioning away from causes of damage. They will also ensure that the cables are positioned in a way that a will not cause a hazard to others.

  • Computertel engineers will ensure that connections to systems carried out during installation work will be undertaken using only suitable British Standard type connectors and plugs.

  • Computertel engineers will ensure that their work is fully tested after completion.

  • Computertel personnel will ensure that they inform a site representative whenever they leave site. If returning they will ensure that a site representative is informed of when they leave and when they have returned.
